Within the next day or two, the DNS records will be updated, pointing http://www.wowjuggernautguild.com to our new home on Facebook.  Over the last month, I have been studying the situation and traffic, and there is simply not enough traffic to this site to warrant the nearly $10 a month cost (plus upkeep and maintenance I have to do).  Facebook can provide almost all of the same features, for next to no cost, so that is where our new home will be.

The old site will continue to be active at least for several weeks (in case Facebook turns out to be not up to our standards), but you will need to update your URL links to http://juggernauts-kt.wowstead.com instead.

If you have any difficulties, please let Snivel/Jjenn know either thru Facebook, this website, or an ingame email.

I am planning an ICC-10 run for this coming Friday, open for any active guild members, to try out the new 4.0.1 changes in a raid situation.  If you are interested, please mark your availability in the ingame calendar.  Space is obviously limited, but if there is enough interest, we can expand to 25-man.  More than likely, we will take the first to show up instead, up until we are filled up on the run.

Planned run is to start at our usual 8 PM Servertime start, and end by 11 PM server.

Note that this is not a "team" based run, anyone and everyone is elligable to join us from the guild.  Obviously, you should not be saved prior to the run, and if you are still active on Team 2, keep that in mind for your plans.

The massive (4.7 GB) pre-Cataclysm patch has rolled out, along with the usual extended downtime.  When the servers come back up, be prepared for many changes in our favorite game.  The changes range thru most of the game,  Highlights include new guild management tools and scheduler, a complete redesign of the Talent system, and a redesign of the Glyph system.  In addition, apparently Triumph Emblems and Frost Emblems are now the same item, so its a good time to get your last upgrades.  There are also numerous miscellaneous changes for each of the classes.  However, the new content for the expansion is not live yet (have to wait for December), so no Worgen or Goblins, and no exploring the new zones.

No doubt, we will be scheduling and running heroics and probably a few raids, to try out the new changes, and get used to the modifications.  Be sure to start dusting off your characters and get ready for the Cataclysm.

Both are used to provide updates, discussion, etc, similar to the normal website, but without all the overhead.  And both feeds also feed into Twitter, if you are present on that as well.

So, now that the novelty of the new site is wearing off, we return to the question of continuing with a full fledged website or skipping all the work for a Facebook group instead.  Obviously the activity on the website is at a low point right now, but the high point is never really very high.  If you have an opinion, please vote in the poll and/or comment on this posting.  Based on the feedback, I will determine if it is worth my time and effort to maintain the full website or not.
